This year, this video has a very special story. First, I already had this soundtrack in my short list, but last year this song was back in the spotlight in December following the death of Shane MacGowan... Then, Fairytale of New York is not only a Christmas song, but also a love story (and what a love) - and it's a good opportunity for me to give a nod to my partner for 30 years! Finally, the song takes us on a journey through magnificent and exotic landscapes: so I chose the ones from the Vallée de Lacs that welcome us, whitened by snow, to accompany the music.

Cette année, cette vidéo a une histoire très spéciale. D'abord, j'avais déjà cette bande son dans ma short list, mais l'année dernière ce mroceau était revenu à la une en décembre suite au décès de Shane MacGowan... Ensuite, Fairytale of New York n'est pas qu'une chanson de Noël, mais bien aussi une histoire d'amour (et quel amour) - et c'est bien pour moi l'occasion de faire un clin d'oeil à ma complice depuis 30 ans ! Enfin, la chanson nous promène dans des paysages magnifiques et dépaysants : j'ai donc choisi celles de vallée de Lacs qui nous accueille, blanchie par la neige, pour accompagner la musique.

Rediscovery for me this year of all the places in Strasbourg conquered post-attack and post-COVID by the Christmas market... And I would say that this year's music is an ode to peace. The Ukrainian vocal ensemble "Liberty" under the direction of Bondarchuk Alla Yaroslavivna recorded in 2016 her interpretation of the famous work "Shchedryk" by M. Leontovich arranged by Pentatonix.

Redécouverte pour moi cette année de tous les endroits de Strasbourg conquis post attentat et post COVID par le marché de Noël... Et je dirais que la musique de cette année est une ode à la paix. I have chosen "Feliz Navid" (by MonecoLorenzo) for weeks, before being able to notice that is was the XMAS tube of this year : check the PTX version , or the one of Emily Linge ... Hope you will enjoy Strasbourg under the rain !

Christmas markets are back, this year - and I chose a "new" place, 3km from Bischenberg : Obernai ! "That's Christmas to me" is an original song by Pentatonix , and for rights issues, this is the PCA Singers cover version.
